Along with many makers and producers who are responding to climate crisis and material shortage, the idea of producing yet more 'stuff' has forced me to think differently. As such, I am currently in the initial process of redesigning my practice to align with a zero-waste paradigm and researching how to incorporate waste materials from other industries into my practice, drawing on the incredible work of Sara Howard and her Circular Ceramics book.

This is an ongoing process which aims to follow a regeneration model of practice and irradicate 'inbuilt obsolescence' in the objects I make. In practice this means embedding sustainability into any community art project undertaken and creating work on a commission basis only to minimise waste, conscious of the end life of objects made.
